Research
To build a research and monitoring program that benefits the He‘eia watershed and its associated community is our utmost priority. We engage in reciprocal collaboration to co-develop, co-manage, and co-produce knowledge with Indigenous resource management practitioners to inform restoration.
Priority research topics for the Heʻeia NERR was identified via a participatory process that included researchers, co-management partners, and Indigenous People and Local Communities. See Winter et al. (2020) for more details.
